LiverMan 100: 2025 Details

Thanks for registering for LiverMan 100: 2025! Psyched for you to join us. Now that you're registered, here's everything you need to know about the weekend.

But first... please out this form. I'll need your shirt size and relay team information (if applicable). Thanks in advance!

Course Route

You can (and should) download the course route here.

Race Start: Chatfield State Park Gravel Pond (entrance fee is $10). Park opens at 5am. Race starts at 7am.

Race Finish: End at the base of Mt. Sanitas, at the start of the trailhead.

Make sure to download the Ride With GPS app and download the routes as well. The routes have "aid stations" listed. You'll be fully responsible for navigating the routes on race day. Reminder: this is an unsanctioned event. There is no medical personnel (not even at "aid stations", really these are water + snack stations). You are responsible for your own safety.

Friday Night (6/20)

We will have a kickoff party with music, food, etc. at Ian's house. 6pm. Racers will get their LiverMan 100 shirts and some goodies from a few of our brand partners. You should come; let's kick off the weekend!

Saturday (6/21)

The big day. Meet at Chatfield State Park and be ready to go by 7am. For Solo LiverPeople. Cars. The race starts and ends in two separate places. Tricky. We'll have some vehicles that can shuttle solo racers and their bikes + racer bags to the start. If you have someone crewing you, even better!

Swim: LiverMan 100 starts with the swim at Chatfield State Park. Reminder, this is an unsanctioned event. You can wear a wetsuit if you'd like; water will be a tad chilly but swimmable. There will be some folks in the water on paddleboards and kayaks that you can hang onto and take a breather if you need it. But these folks are not medical personnel. I'm going to ask for minimal spectators here to not draw a bigger scene. (If anyone asks you what you're doing, you're celebrating a friend's 8th liverversary, thanks!).

  • Solo LiverPeople: You can have one racer bag (think a duffel bag) with anything you need for transitions from swim to bike and bike to run. We can help transport this (in the GNAR-V) from the start/end of the swim to the end of the bike/start of the run.
  • Relay LiverPeople: You have a team. You'll be crewing for each other and should have all the supplies your team needs to be successful (and safe).

Bike: Most of the route follows bike paths. Some of which are paved and some of which are more packed gravel. You may be okay on a road bike. A gravel bike with thinner tires may be a slightly better option. Follow all rules of the road. Respect traffic and other folks on the road/paths. There will be a few aid stations where you can top off on water and refuel with snacks. Nuun is one of our incredible Brand Partners. They will be on-course with their premium endurance fuel.

Run: You're doing great! You made it to South Boulder Peak trailhead. We'll have the "GNAR-V" there (I made that up and it sounds nice) with your racer bag. We'll take your bike too. Again, if you have someone else crewing that can handle this logistic- even better. If not, no worries. The first two peaks are the tallest and require a little bit of scrambling. You do NOT need to get to the very tip top, just get as close as you are comfortable, enjoy the views and please just be safe. Watch the route, it's a little windy.

Finish: It's going to be a really long day. I also anticipate some people finishing very late.

  • Solo LiverPeople: We can help shuttle you back to A-Lodge. You need your own plan from there (either room booked at A-Lodge or some form of transportation to get where you need to be).
  • Relay LiverPeople: You are crewing for each other. You should be ready at the finish line for your runner and able to get each other where you need to go.

You're going to be pretty wiped. For that reason, we're saving the afterparty for Sunday morning! Get some sleep. Maybe enjoy some of the sample packets of human improvement vegan protein (thanks human improvement team!) and we'll see you in the morning!

Sunday Morning (6/22)

There will be a pancake sendoff the next morning. Grab some breakfast, laugh about how insane the day before was, and celebrate a good time had. Shit, maybe Tattoo Mike can get you inked up with the lil LiverMan guy. It'll be rad. Venue TBA (likely A-Lodge or Ian's house in Denver).

Lodging

We have partnered up with our friends over at A-Lodge Boulder (yup, same place where the Friday night kickoff party is) to be our primary lodging partner. This is a good option for folks coming in from out of town AND solo racers that want a ride down to Chatfield State Park in the morning. It's also a great option for Saturday night because I have a feeling, if all goes well, you'll probably be pretty tired that night. Do yourself a favor, grab a room at A-Lodge Boulder. It's a quick 8 minute drive from where the race finishes.

By the way! A-Lodge has generously offered a 15% discount for all LiverMan 100 participants. Code is GNARLY15. Book now, they will fill up!
