What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? Buuuut let’s get you signed up as an organ donor, just in case.
Really though, it’s important to know exactly what you’re getting into when you register for LiverMan 100. LiverMan 100 is an unsanctioned race. There’s no medical staff. There are no permits. It doesn’t qualify you for any other races. You will be provided with the exact route once you register, however you’ll ultimately be responsible for navigating the course yourself on the day of. There are no road closures, trail markers or anything like that and it’s important to follow the rules of the road.
There will be “aid” stations which really just means we’ll have some folks with water and some light snacks (including some snacks and hydration supplies from Brand Partners, like Tailwind Nutrition). You will need to bring whatever fuel you need for the day. Participants doing the full LiverMan 100 course will get one (1) racer bag which must contain anything needed at the two aid stations: one at the start and end of the swim and then at the end of the bike. We will transport the racer bag from the swim to the end of the bike. If you are doing the relay, your team will need to transport anything the team needs for the day.
While this is a “race” and it is going to be a challenge, it’s also a party and a celebration of life! Let’s make it a good time.
