LiverMan 100 isn’t your typical triathlon. It’s a celebration. And a really gnarly challenge. You probably have some questions and here are the answers to some of those questions.
Q: Where do I show up and what’s the route?
A: You’ll get the exact starting location and the full route once you register. It’s within a 45 minute drive from Denver. The race ends in a different location, also within 45 minutes of Denver, maybe an hour if there’s traffic.
Q: If I don’t know the route, how do I know what I’m signing up for?
A: LiverMan 100 is an unsanctioned event, which is why we’re keeping the route on the down low. That being said, you can expect a mile swim in a small lake, an 83 mile bike ride on bike paths and quieter (mostly gravel) roads and about 2,500 ft of elevation gain, and ending with a 16 mile trail run with about 5,500 ft of elevation gain. Peak elevation on the course is about 8,500 ft.
Q: Are there aid stations?
A: We will have an aid station about halfway through the bike and another at the end of the bike. Aid stations will be minimal. We’ll have water, electrolyte powders and bananas. Outside of that, you will need to bring any food or drink that you require for the event.
Q: Is there medical staff?
A: No, there is no medical staff. This is an unsanctioned, mostly DIY event. You are ultimately responsible for your own safety during the event. We encourage you to train and prepare and if you cannot safely continue, drop out of the race.
Q: What kind of bike do I need?
A: Most of the biking will be on paved bike trails, however there will be sections of gravel. We encourage a gravel bike for this event.
Q: What do I get for signing up?
A: All racers will receive a 2025 LiverMan race shirt as well as a swag bag from our sponsors.
